YouTuberos

Sunday afternoon, it's too hot and as you wait for rain, you go online and just browse for interesting content. And there's YouTube of course so you head out to it and you watch video after video and then you come to a couple of amusing finds... First up, a good looking dancer, composer, and singer - erenz88.Here's his cover of Chris Brown's With You. I think I'm going out to buy Chris Brown's album.
Here he's dancing.
And now singing his own composition (lyrics), Higher. Promising.

And spinning off from the famous HappySlip, is Christine's cousin's (Minnie) "boyfriend", Kevin or KevJumba.
Here, he dance-battles against Fred G., another wacky character trying to win Minnie's heart.
And he has his own site too.

So go forth and check these lads out...

Good time

I had been listening to DJ Mo's morning program on Magic 89.9 FM for a couple of weeks now- usually when driving to work. And I try to catch their now (in)famous Wednesdays' Forbidden Questions episodes when he would pitch naughty and controversial questions/tasks to his guests. DJ Mo's co-hosts are nymphs Mojo Jojo and Maui Taylor. Tuesdays, these three would try to outdo each other in trivia questions or games until one of them has (almost) completely undressed.

This morning, but since Maui Taylor was not around, the duo of Mo and Mojo took calls and had fun with their listeners. I had just woken up when Mo suggested they play a "Same Name" game where the object would be to give twonames of people whose surnames match but who are really different from each other. They gave a couple of examples and I forgot if they took a caller already before the song break but I caught their phone number and dialled and was surprised when during the song break and after only one ring, Mo's voice was on the other line asking me "Who's this?" I told him my name and the purpose of my call and gave him my contribution for the name game: Derek Ramsey and Elizabeth Ramsey. He swore a malutong na "Putang-" then told me to hold the line.

When the song ended, the two dj's spoke with me and I was even given a *Cute boy alert* for having a nice-sounding voice on air. They also joked about the name I gave- JB, that when you spell it backwards... So on to the game, I gave them my contribution and it was funny enough to merit free movie tickets! Mo then asked me to come by tomorrow to pick my prize up. Coolness.

DJ Mo's radio program, Good Times with Mo Twister, airs Mondays thru Thursdays 6-9AM. The images are from the Magic 89.9 site- click the post title.

Starstruck's Paulo Avelino

I'm not really a fan of Starstruck but after the success of at least their first batch of survivors like Jennelyn Mercado, Mark Herras, Katrina Halili, etc., one could only have a bit of admiration for these kids who really, really want to break into the showbiz scene. 18-yr old commercial model Paulo Avelino had the cute-sy boy-next-door looks and he was eyeing co-finalist Jewel Mische that gave him an edge for one title, that of half of the Ultimate Loveteam. Unfortunately, he got the boot tonight. From the dance performances I saw in SOP the past couple of Sundays, Paulo was overshadowed by the three remaining male survivors. Good luck to all of the remaining finalists who will be have a final showdown at the Marikina Sports Complex on March 25. They're all good-looking but they would need to work on their talents. Winning (and even just being in) a contest such as this is an opportunity to do just that. Don't waste it.

Daniel Radcliff on Equus

The above pictures are promotional pictures taken by Uli Weber for the upcoming London staging of the Tony-award-winning play, Equus, by Peter Shaffer. Harry Potter film series star Daniel Radcliffe will play Alan Strang, a stable boy who is interviewed by a psychiatrist after he blinds six horses with a metal spike. The role requires Harry- I mean Daniel- to ride naked on his horse. I'm not much of a Harry Potter fan so I don't get how all this naked-ness will sit with HP fans. But it will certainly give another dimension to the bespectacled magic student; we might even get a glimpse of his wand. (Naughty-naughty!) Of course, that applies to those actually going to see the play in London.
